What you’ll do:
Design innovative civil engineering solutions that align with client needs, codes, and standards. Collaborate with multi-discipline teams, participate in design reviews, and coordinate with clients. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while interpreting geotechnical data and analyzing environmental impacts. Plan transportation networks and building sites for Arctic conditions, estimate construction costs, and oversee project progress. Conduct site investigations, assessing vegetation, soils, utilities, and access. Occasional in-state travel for site visits is required.
You need:- Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in designing and managing civil engineering projects.
- Professional Civil Engineer License in Alaska or obtain reciprocity licensing within 1 year of employment.
- Demonstrate a broad depth of knowledge in the practice of civil engineering.
- Ability to train and mentor young engineers and EITs.
- Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil 3D or similar software experience.
