    GVEA is an electric cooperative which maintains 3,292 miles of transmission and distribution lines, 40 substations, and 9 generating facilities. Our system is interconnected with Fort Wainwright, Eielson AFB, Fort Greely, the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, and all of the electric utilities in the Alaska Railbelt, extending from Homer to Fairbanks.     What would you do as a Healy Office Assistant 1

    As a Healy Office Assistant 1 at Golden Valley Electric Association, you will play a crucial role in providing essential administrative and clerical support at the Healy Power Plant. Your responsibilities will include performing timekeeping duties, managing accounts payable administration, and facilitating employee onboarding processes. Additionally, you will maintain document and library control for Power Supply at Healy, ensuring that all records are organized and accessible. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, where your contributions will help streamline operations and support our dedicated team in delivering reliable energy solutions to the community.

    What you need to be successful

    To excel as a Healy Office Assistant 1 at Golden Valley Electric Association, candidates should possess a strong foundation in administrative support with at least two years of experience in a related role. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid Alaska driver's license for potential on-site tasks. Proficiency in personal computing is essential, as you will be utilizing various software tools to perform tasks efficiently. Excellent oral and written communication skills are paramount, enabling you to effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
