Day to Day
In this role, the Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for reviewing, reconciling, and analyzing documentation for invoice payments related to merchandise, company expenses, and employee credit cards. They ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices through electronic means and checks. Key tasks include matching invoices to purchase orders, researching discrepancies, setting up payments, and posting them to the financial system.
The AP Analyst also reconciles and pays employee credit card statements, processes vendor credit applications, and produces IRS forms 1099 at year-end. They maintain accounts payable reports and files, prepare Fish & Game reports, and provide tax-exempt documents to vendors. Additionally, they serve as a back-up for payroll and benefits coordination and handle vendor inquiries.
Qualifications
- Two years of accounts payable processing
- High school diploma or GED
- Specialized training or equivalent experience in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Broad knowledge and experience in office operations and accounting/bookkeeping practices is preferred
- Above average skills in organizational abilities, computer operations, and basic math
- Excellent skills in oral and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to complete required tasks and assignments outlined in the job description or otherwise assigned
