Accountant
Posted: 01/05/2025Immediately seeking an organized and highly detail-oriented Accountant.Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business related degree, accounting designation, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience with ADP and Pronto software or an industrial background is preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Work, PowerPoint, and Excel) is required.Must have a valid driver’s license.Duties & Responsibilities Include:- Prepare monthly journal entries, file and maintain for internal and audit purposes
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
- Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the general ledger.
- Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets, calculate asset retirement obligations for those fixed assets to which AROs are applicable and investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.
- Prepare monthly journal entries, file and maintain for all internal and audit purposes.
- Prepare monthly Sub-ledger, Balance Sheet, and Bank Reconciliations
- Coordinate and conduct monthly cost review meetings.
- Prepare quarterly state and federal tax reporting.
- Prepare data requests for site financial and benefit audits.
- Assist as needed in the payroll process, reviewing and approving payments in absence of Controller.
- Prepare and review bonus plan payments.
- Assist as needed in the Accounts Payable process, reviewing and approving payments in absence of Controller.
- Other duties as required.
Full time hours Monday -Friday with pay starting at $85k-$115k annually depending on experience.Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business related degree, Accounting designation, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 3-5 years relevant work experience.
- Current Driver’s License
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Background will be viewed.
