REGISTER TODAY for the Teaching Artist Training for the AIS Program!
-
Fairbanks Arts Association is excited to announce a vital training opportunity for practicing artists interested in making a meaningful impact in schools and communities through our Artists in Schools (AIS) residency program.
This training is specifically tailored for practicing artists who aspire to become a unique resource for our district’s schools and the community through developing a teaching artist practice. The certification obtained from this training will qualify artists to participate in the Artists in Schools (AIS) program within the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District. AIS residencies are typically 2-4 weeks long, depending on the project (1-week residencies are discussed on a case-by-case basis), with flexibility for longer engagements based on project needs. Teaching artists receive $1,500 per week of residency.
