Presidential Election 2024: Who Will Win and Why

Dr. Amy Lauren Lovecraft, Professor of Political Science with the UAF Department of Political Science will present a lecture followed by a Q&A session about the upcoming national election and its consequences for the State of Alaska. The lecture will cover the constitutional grounding of the U.S. Presidency, the development of politics that led us into the last two decades, recent developments since 2016, and then peer into the crystal ball for discussion of possible outcomes in November. ???? Parking on campus is free after 5 p.m. If you are unable to make the event in person but would still like to join the conversation there is a zoom option available. This event is free and open to the public. About Amy Lovecraft: Dr. Lovecraft studied American political development under Dr. Walter Dean Burnham at the University of Texas Austin for her Ph.D. She currently has a joint appointment at UAF as Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for Arctic Policy Studies at the International Arctic Research Center.
