GREAT ALASKA 9/11 STAIR CLIMB Presented by Kinross Fort Knox Saturday September 9, 2023 The Carlson Center - Fairbanks Please join Fairbanks area firefighters, law enforcement, local officials and the public as we pay tribute to our fallen heroes from that fateful day 22 years ago. Participants and donors will be providing support to the Fallen First Responders Fund. The Tanana Valley Chapter of the Alaska State Firefighters Association, along with community volunteers and area sponsors have organized the Great Alas-ka 9/11 Stair Climb. This event is an untimed, fun, family friendly event that allows participants to pay tribute to the firefighters and other first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001 by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Through firefighter and community participation, we can ensure that each of the 343 firefighters are honored and the world knows we will never forget. Organize your teams and prepare for a fantastic event! The First 200 participants registered will receive a t-shirt at the event. We will take orders for additional shirts the day of the event.
