Fairbanks Chamber Weekly Business Luncheon: Fairbanks District Attoney's Office
-
Please join the Chamber of Commerce to hear from Joe Dallaire, District Attorney, and Allison Baldock, Assistant District Attorney, as they will be discussing our position of retail theft prosecutor, created in 2023. This position was established to address the impact retail theft and other retail crime have on our businesses and community. This position handles all theft, robbery, or assault charges where the victims are commercial establishments and/or their employees acting within the scope of their employment.
These categories of crime not only jeopardize businesses, but also directly affect Interior Alaska residents through increased costs, limiting access to goods, and creating a sense of unease when in commercial establishments. Establishing this position underscores our office’s commitment to protecting the economic vitality of our town and ensuring that all shoppers, retail employees, and businesses can enjoy a safe and hassle-free environment.
