Join Fairbanks Arts and Pioneer Park for the 3rd Annual Handmade Holiday Market on Small Business Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Alaska Centennial Center for the Arts in Pioneer Park. This beloved community event connects local artists and artisans with the wider community, showcasing a diverse range of handmade goods that celebrate creativity and craftsmanship.
With over 50 talented artists and artisans in attendance, attendees can explore unique offerings including accessories, clothing, original artwork, and functional art. This is a wonderful opportunity to support local creatives and find one-of-a-kind gifts for the holiday season.
Event Highlights:

Craft Activities with Fairbanks Children’s Museum: From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., children can enjoy a variety of hands-on activities in the Blue Room, including card making, ornament crafting, and sensory exploration.

Free Train Rides & Visits with Santa: Families can take advantage of free train rides and meet Santa from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tanana Valley Railroad Museum.

Story Time and Free Books: Throughout the day, children can enjoy story time with Stars of Gold Readers and receive a free book on the 3rd Floor Exhibit Hall.

Annual Print Sale at The Folk School: From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., discover local artists at The Folk School's annual print sale located next to the AK Centennial Center for the Arts.

Tree Lighting Ceremony: Join us from 4:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. for choral music and the lighting of the Pioneer Park Christmas Tree.
Support Local Arts:
Visitors can craft community by supporting Fairbanks Arts Association through year-end charitable donations at the welcome table, purchasing snacks at the bake sale, and learning about membership opportunities. The Bear Gallery will also be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring the exhibition Limited Edition: An Exhibition of Small Works, where guests can purchase original pieces by local artists.Leave a gift under the CommuniTree:
The market will have a CommuniTREE designated for you to donate to the Fairbanks Resource Agency (FRA) right next to the Fairbanks Arts Association booth.
FRA serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities of all ages, as well as
seniors with Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias. Their wish list includes ideas to support
their Family Services, Residential Services, Senior Services/Adult Day Center, and the
Discovery Center programs.
