Cold Latitudes and the King Eider Migration - Literary Reading with Rosemary and Rebecca McGuire
-
Join Fairbanks Arts in the Bear Gallery for a literary reading with Rosemary and Rebecca McGuire.
This free event will start at 6:00 pm in the Bear Gallery. All attendees are required to wear a mask.
Rosemary and Rebecca will be discussing Rosemary's book "Cold Latitudes," a memoir in essay form of many seasons spent working in Alaska and Antarctica as a field technician, combined with photos and scientific data from Rebecca's research on the migration of eiders from their wintering grounds to their breeding grounds in the Arctic. From Rebecca, "This migration is an amazing sight as the birds fly by in the thousands, often so close together that you can hear their wings clicking together."
This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact (907) 251-8386 or email literary@fairbanksarts.org.
