Ned Rozell will be presenting "The top 10 things you didn’t know about Alaska"
Sure, you’ve lived in Alaska a while. Or maybe you’re on a once-in-a-lifetime trip after reading so much about the state.
But did you know Alaska has a Wall of China, an island with a mile-deep nuclear-bomb cavern beneath its surface, and ground squirrels whose body temperatures drop colder than an ice cube each winter?
Ned Rozell is a writer who has sent out more than 2,000 weekly stories about science over the past 30 years. He is also the only person who has walked the length of the trans-Alaska pipeline. Twice.
He lives in Fairbanks with his wife and daughter and dog that hiked the pipeline and Chihuahua that did not.
Science for Alaska Summer Series is brought to you by Explore Fairbanks and UAF Geophysical Institute.
