Pedro Monument Ceremony
This is the oldest event of our annual Golden Days celebration, hosted by the Pioneers of Alaska. At this public event we will be honoring Felix Pedro at the very site where he discovered Fairbanks gold in 1902. Guest speaker will be Rose Rybachek who will share some of her personal mining experiences from the Livengood area. Traditional refreshments will be served at the conclusion. History and fun for everyone! Join us in remembering the man who uncovered the golden possibilities that put Fairbanks forever on the map.
