Mission Statement

The Membership Committee develops and coordinates services of the Chamber to enhance overall recruitment and retention of its membership.

Goals for the Year

  • Contact current members 6 months prior to invoice for renewal
    • Make contact with business and deliver membership packet
    • Identify and provide information that the member may not know about (i.e., Chamber Master, Member Benefits, Upcoming Events, etc.)
    • Get feedback about the member’s current thoughts on member activities and provide information to the Membership Coordinator
  • Assist in recruitment of new members
    • Identify and contact new prospects
    • Identify possible membership leads and provide a contact name and telephone number to the Membership Coordinator
    • Speak with current members or business associates to identify those businesses that offer great customer service, products, or are active in the community
    • Assist Ambassador Committee with new member introductions as needed

Programs & Projects for the Year

  • Member of the Month
    • Promote, solicit and review monthly nominations and select “Member of the Month”
  • Membership Blitz
    • Develop a one-day event each year to deliver multiple membership packets to prospective members followed by a barbecue
  • Recommend appropriate General Membership Luncheon Programs/Panel Discussions
