PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 10, 2012 FAIRBANKS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE NAMES JANUARY MEMBER OF THE MONTH: HALE AND ASSOCIATES The Chamber’s “Member of the Month” Award program recognizes and honors businesses for their outstanding efforts in promoting a healthy, economic environment and for promoting the greater Fairbanks area as a great place for business and community. Hale & Associates was named the “January Chamber Member of the Month” on Tuesday, January 3rd at the Chamber’s General Membership Luncheon Meeting that was held at the Carlson Center. The “Member of the Month” award is a new program at the Chamber that seeks to promote businesses or organizations that uphold the mission and values of the Chamber, model high ethical standards, practice excellent customer service, volunteer in the community and are socially responsible, committed to local economic growth, and supportive of greater Fairbanks residents and businesses. David Hale is the President of Hale & Associates, a local insurance, bonding, and consulting company that is committed to not only meeting the unique business demands in our community, but to exceeding expectations as a first class insurance broker and risk management partner. The locally-owned and operated business provides a personal relationship for each of their clients with increased access to their account team, state of the art market knowledge and expertise, enhanced claims advocacy, and quicker, more streamlined processes. Hale has been committed to serving the mission of the Chamber for a number of years. “As a business owner, I believe that in order for our business community to be successful, it takes everyone who lives and work here to be involved,” said Hale. Hale is currently serving his 4th year on the Board of Directors, is the current Chairman of the Finance Committee and invests $2,500 in the Chamber each year as a Silver Level Investor. “By serving on the Board of Directors, I know that I will have access to legislation, regulations, and other issues that may ultimately affect my customers, positively or negatively. It is a great way for me to stay connected to what’s happening right now with the business environment.” In addition to Hale’s service and support for the Chamber, he is actively engaged in several other community activities which include coaching basketball at NPHS, donating funds for the NPHS gymnasium floor and score board, and Co-Chairing the School Bond committee that was passed by the voters this fall. He’s also involved with Interior Youth Basketball Association, the youth activities at the Elk’s Club, and the State Insurance Association, serving as president two separate times. Hale also encourages his employees to be actively engaged in the community as well. The employees of Hale & Associates raise money for KUAC’s annual fundraiser, volunteer for Breast Cancer Detection Center’s Gala Affair, and volunteer at Catholic School of Fairbanks’ annual HIPOW event. One of his employees is currently President Elect for Alaska Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association.
