Mission Statement

Leadership Fairbanks Committee assists in developing and overseeing a community leadership program that gives the participants exposure to other leaders in the community, development of leadership skills, opportunities for personal growth, networking, and mentoring to a diverse group of students.

2012 Program of Work

Goals for the Year

  • Oversee implementation of the Leadership Fairbanks program
  • In collaboration with the facilitator, make adjustments as needed to the original program design and curriculum outline
  • Evaluate the program and make recommendations for the future
  • Actively participate in the recruitment process
  • Arrange leadership seminars for the general membership whenever possible

Programs & Projects for the Year

  • Identify and host leadership seminars and workshops for the Chamber membership
  • Market the 2012-13 Leadership Fairbanks program and actively recruit applicants
  • Organize and conduct initial sessions of the 2012-13 Leadership Fairbanks program
  • Recommend appropriate General Membership Luncheon programs/panel discussions
