Day to Day
In this role, you will spearhead the designing of innovative civil engineering solutions that align with client needs, codes, and standards. You will collaborate with multi-discipline teams, participate in design reviews, and coordinate with clients. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while interpreting geotechnical data and analyzing environmental impacts. Additionally, you will plan transportation networks and building sites for Arctic conditions, estimate construction costs and oversee project progress, and conduct site investigations. Occasional in-state travel for site visits is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in designing and managing civil engineering projects.
- Professional Civil Engineer License (PE) in Alaska or obtain reciprocity licensing within 1 year of employment.
- Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil 3D or similar software experience.
- Demonstrate a broad depth of knowledge in the practice of civil engineering.
- Ability to train and mentor young engineers and EITs.
