Mission Statement
Leadership Fairbanks will cultivate a pool of highly skilled and resourceful business leaders to invigorate the Greater
Fairbanks area and accelerate its economic progress.
Program Overview
Leadership Fairbanks is designed for individuals, seeking to expand their existing leadership skills. Participants will undertake an intensive course of study, networking, mentoring, discussion and personal reflection designed to amplify personal leadership skills and commitment to civic engagement.
The program will include the following key components:
- Leadership Theory: Participants will be exposed to a variety of written works on leadership topics, as a foundation for honing personal leadership skills. They will discuss, debate and challenge pertinent, core principles, while seeking to apply them in real life situations.
- Community Exploration and Networking: Sessions will be held in multiple community settings where participants will meet key leaders, learn about the dynamics of business, government and community organizations and how they interact and support the community at large.
- Presentations by Leaders: In an intimate and confidential environment, participants will spend time with established civic-minded leaders, engaging in dialogue about leadership development and relevant public issues.
